The Let’s Face It program was developed by Tanaka and colleagues (2010), and is a free game for children aged 8-15. It can be used at either the home or the clinic. It consists of 7 computer games:
- Find a face – increases saliency of faces
- Eye Spy – improves eye gaze and eye contact
- Face Maker – for identity and expression
- Search Party – child must remember and recognize a face
- Splash – child must find the correct face
- Two of a Kind – a memory based matching game
- Zap it – child must connect 3 or more matching faces
The skills learned are analytic and holistic face processing skills. A study of 79 children found that 20 hours of face training was sufficient to improve face processing skills. Due to unreliable blinding and data collection methods, it was given a strength score of 1.
